James "Jimmy" W. Gambo Jr.

James W Gambo, Jr. 55 passed away peacefully with his wife "Nunz" by his side, Thursday February 24, 2022 at Hackensack University Medical Center. Born in Hackensack, NJ, he lived in Elmwood Park, NJ before moving to Little Ferry 26 years ago. Following graduation from Memorial HS, Elmwood Park in 1985, Jimmy enlisted in the US Marine Corps. Following the Marines, Jimmy was a truck driver for well over 35 years. Always a loyal hard worker, Jimmy was known as a great guy who would give you the shirt off his back. . His love of sports showed whether he was playing basketball or baseball in high school, playing hockey in his 20's & 30's, coaching soccer or just cheering his kids from the sidelines. He could always be found watching his favorite teams, the NY Yankees, NJ Devils and Arizona Cardinals . Beloved husband of 25 years of Annunziata Gambo (Latella) Loving father of Kasandra and her fiancé John Rose of Ringwood, Jake Gambo, Jason Gambo, Samantha Gambo and Carmela Gambo. Dear son of Barbara Moore of Brick, NJ and the late James W Gambo Sr .and also step-son of Marion Gambo of Garfield NJ.. Brother of Deena Petrich (Gambo) and her husband Chris of Bayville, NJ. Michael Gambo and his wife Kristin of Edgewater, NJ. Loving son in-law to Carmela Latella (Careri) and the late Antonino Latella ( 2014) Dear brother-in-law of Carmelo Latella and his wife Deborah of Boonton, NJ. Also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
