Albertina Pena's Obituary
Albertina dos Remédios Farinha Nunes Pena, AKA Tina Pena, age 58, passed away on February 14, 2021. Tina was born August 15, 1962 in Coimbra, Portugal. She shared 27 years of marriage together with Oscar Pena.
Tina was the daughter of Diamantino Nunes and Marie de Conceiçáo. She attended schools in Sertá and Coimbra. While living in Sertá, she owned two clothing stores in Sertá and Abrantes. In 1995, she moved to the United States for a “better life” with her family. Tina worked as an Assistant Chief in the Department of Public Safety at Ramapo College of NJ for 17 years while residing in Allendale, NJ before moving to Ramsey where she lived for the past few years.
She was a member of the Guardian Angel Church. She enjoyed watching soccer, loved sharing stories with the youth in her community and deeply loved animals.
She is survived by her two sisters Irene Farinha (Mário Farinha) and Isabel Nunes and her two cats Chicco and Lucky (AKA Undercover). She was predeceased by her son Eduardo João Nunes Pena (AKA Eddie) and her brother Carlos Nunes.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10am at Guardian Angel Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Guardian Angel Church, 320 Franklin Tpke, Allendale, NJ 07401 or Tyco Animal Control, 1 Stouts Lane, Ho Ho Kus, NJ 07423.
