Alfred Deppe's Obituary
Deppe, Alfred "Al" of Saddle Brook on June 24th 2012, Age 73. Devoted husband of Marie Nee Smith for 50 years. Beloved father of Al of Saddle Brook, Michael and his wife Anne of Waldwick, Daniel and his wife Jaimie of Hockessin Del. Loving brother of Arlene Sandberg. Cherished grandfather of Alfred, Jacquelyn, Kevin, Kara, Matthew, Jennifer and Heather Mili, and his great granddaughter Mariah Dixon.
Al was the owner of Otto and Al's Gas Station in Hasbrouck Heights, a member of the Bergen County Umpires Association, a basketball official and a baseball and basketball coach in Saddle Brook. He was an avid fisherman and grew up in Hasbrouck Heights. Al was a people person who loved talking and dealing with his customers. He was a parishioner of St Philips the Apostle in Saddle Brook.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend the funeral from the Hennessey – Heights Funeral Home at 232 Kipp Ave. Hasbrouck Heights on Friday, June 29th , 2012 at 9am. Thence to St Philip's the Apostle Church where a mass will be offered at 10am. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Donations may be made to Hasbrouck Heights Ambulance Corp 250 Hamilton Ave., Hasbrouck Heights NJ 07604 or Villa Marie Claire Hospice Saddle River NJ. Visitation Wednesday 7-9pm, Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm.
