Andrew Grutta's Obituary
GRUTTA
Andrew, 92, of Whiting, NJ, formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, passed away on September 17, 2014. Andrew was born in Bloomfield, NJ on October 12, 1921 and was a graduate of Hasbrouck Heights High School. He was married to the late Wanda Lee Love on February 13, 1944.
Andrew worked as a master plumber for Local #24 until his retirement. He is also a veteran of the US Navy and served as a Chief Petty officer in the Mediterranean during World War II.
Andrew is predeceased by his wife of 55 years Wanda Lee Love from Partridge, KA; his parents Gaspar and Anna Grutta; one brother Benedito Grutta and two sisters Sadie Grutta Abbate and Francisca Grutta Costa.
Andrew is survived by his two daughters Susan Grutta Rebisz of Vernon, NJ and Patricia Grutta White of Glenwood, NJ; one brother Willie Grutta of Brick, NJ; four grandchildren Bethany White Lichtenwalner of Glenwood, NJ, Amanda Rebisz Britts of North Carolina, Adam Rebisz of North Carolina and Eric Rebisz of Vernon, NJ. He is also survived by one great-grandson Cooper Lichtenwalner and 12 nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Hennessey Heights Funeral Home, 232 Kipp Ave Hasbrouck Heights on Monday, September 22nd at 9am. Funeral Liturgy from Corpus Christi R.C. Church, Hasbrouck Heights at 10am. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visitation Sunday 4-7pm.
