Anne-Marie Avetisian's Obituary
Anne-Marie Boidi Avetisian, 48, of Newtown, Connecticut, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011, as a result of a car accident. Born in Bourges, France, Anne-Marie was employed with Dorel Industries, Inc. as the Global Chief Financial Officer of the Recreational/Leisure Segment which includes Cycling Sports Group in Bethel, Connecticut, Pacific Cycle in Madison, Wisconsin, and SUGOI Performance Apparel in Burnaby, British Columbia. She held various senior financial positions during her career with The Timberland Company in France, Italy and Asia Pacific; and Levi Strauss & Company, in Europe and San Francisco, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Mario Boidi and Marie Therese Aniorte Boidi of France, her husband, Alexey Avetisyan, and her son, Emmanuel Avetisian, of Newtown, Connecticut; two brothers, Philippe and Laurent, and one sister, Frederique, and several nieces and nephews, all of France.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 31st from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Cornell Memorial Funeral Home at 247 White Street, in Danbury, Connecticut. The family will be holding a funeral service to be held in France at a date to be determined.
