Aryo Awungshi Shishak's Obituary
Dr. Aryo A. Shishak of Milford, PA returned to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 24, 2017.
He was 78 years old. He was born November 1, 1938 in Shangshak Village in the state of Manipur
in Northeast India. He was educated in New Delhi and New York Medical Schools.
Dr. Shishak came to America in 1969 and practiced as a physician in Port Jervis, NY and Milford, PA
for 26 years. He was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in Port Jervis and a lifelong resident
of Milford. Dr. Shishak was a faithful servant of the Lord. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening
and cooking.
He leaves his wife of 45 years, Ngano; his son Zing Shishak of Albany, NY; his daughter Lei Shishak
and son-in-law George Mulling of Dana Point, CA. He is survived by three brothers: Tui A. Shishak
and wife Margaret Kautz, Azan A. Shishak and wife Rialeno Phizo, Donray A. Shishak and wife
Homi Thumra; one sister, Khatingla Horam; one sister-in-law L.C. Chon Luikham. He was
predeceased by his younger brother Asa A. Shishak. He is also survived by 6 nephews and 6
nieces.
The family would like to thank the entire Tri-State community for welcoming Dr. Shishak over the
years. In lieu of flowers and donations, prayers are appreciated.
A funeral service was held October 16 at Bergen Funeral Home in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ with
private burial conducted by Rev. Tuisem Shishak of Patkai Christian College and Pastor Tim Dunn
of Milford Bible Church.
