When I was young, Audrey was very much into Eastern philosophy and culture. She encouraged me to study martial arts and Kendo. One thing I remember her doing for me was she gave me a book, "Zen in the Martial Arts" by Joe Hyams.
I wasn't much of a reader at the time, but once I started, I read that book cover to cover in 1 sitting. It was a collection of anecdotal stories of different people applying Zen teachings to real world situations. (Active Inactivity was one chapter if I remember correctly.)
I think my friends of the same age were sick of me talking about it after a while.
It was my first introduction to meditation and, in later years, a foundation to further studies into Eastern philosophy and culture.
Adurey was a smart woman, an educated woman. God Speed.
