Bettina Scrimizzi of Dumont, New Jersey passed away on May 22, 2014. Bettina was predeceased by her beloved parents Anthony and Mary Scrimizzi. She was the devoted sister of Anthony and his wife and the late Benedict. Loving Aunt Read Obituary
Though Ms. Scrimizzi passed away almost 10 years ago, I just learned of this sad news. Ms. Scrimizzi was the 4th grade teacher every student at Selzer School wanted and I was lucky enough to have been in her class. She had a wonderful laugh and was a beautiful person who made each student feel special. Her love of teaching was ever present and I'll never forget her. Rest in Peace.
We were neighbors of Tina's family. When we first moved there,her father Tony and my husband Joe became friends. They were a very nice family. When Tina and Joe would be out in the garden, they would yell to each other saying whose tomatoes were the best! Tina was a wonderful teacher, daughter, aunt and neighbor. She will be missed.

I was a neighbor of the Scrimizzi's family. They were all great people. We were sorry to hear of Tina's passing. She was a wonderful teacher and very devoted to her family. She will surely be missed. I was never fortunate enough to be in her class, but as I walked each day on my way to Dumont High School, she would always offer me a ride. She was the best!

So sorry to hear of Ms. Scrimizzi passing. She was the most wonderful fourth grade teacher. She traveled and shared all she learned with her students. She taught them the value of learning.
