Charles Robert Mattson's Obituary
In loving memory of Charles Robert Mattson. A devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, and cherished friend. He lived a life of unwavering love and dedication to his family. He was always willing to lend a hand and help anyone in need. He was a man of few words but left a huge impression on many.
Charles, fondly known as Chuck, is survived by his wife, Maura and his two sons, Kevin (Nicole) and Eric (Stephanie). He is also survived by his five grandchildren Viana, Noelle, Cameron, Arielle and Ava. He was a loving son to his late mother, Mary, and a caring brother to his two sisters, Carol and Barbara.
Chuck was a wonderful husband and a rock to his wife. In difficult times, he was the voice of reason when patience was needed. He kept everyone balanced with his comfort and sensibility.
He was an amazing father to Kevin and Eric who brought him great joy and pride. He was highly respected by his sons, guiding them through life with honesty, patience, and acceptance.
As a grandfather, “Grandpa Chuck” was playful and famous for his tickles. He was also the grandpa that could instantly ease his grandbabies to sleep with his calm nature while they rested upon his chest. He enjoyed his time around them and supported their dreams.
Chuck was an easygoing person who loved fishing, hunting, listening to oldies and country music. He enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows and riding his motorcycle. He took great pleasure in working on special house projects on “The Honey Do List.” His favorite places to travel were the sandy beaches of New Jersey, North Carolina, and Aruba. He genuinely enjoyed the latest trip to Aruba with his entire family.
Chuck’s memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around him with his kindheartedness, selflessness, sense of humor and calm spirit.
