Charles Thomas Palumbo's Obituary
Charles “Charlie” Thomas Palumbo, 75, of Lodi NJ, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 in Hackensack, NJ.
Charlie was born December 11, 1949 at Passaic Hospital, the youngest child of Charles and Theresa (Baldassaro) Palumbo. He grew up in Lodi, NJ surrounded by a large extended family.
Preceding Charlie in death are his parents; sisters Mae Wood and Marie Esposito; and brother Thomas.
Remaining to cherish Charlie’s memory are his daughter Laura Palumbo and her husband Scott Longo of Staten Island, NY; brother-in-law Dennis Esposito of Lodi, NJ; sister Jeanne and her husband James Krachenfels of Dublin, CA; nieces Jennifer Hiller of Pleasanton, CA; Amy Humber of Livermore, CA; Carrie Esposito of Lodi, NJ; nephew David Esposito of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ; as well as beloved grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins, and lifetime friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Charlie joined the United States Air Force in 1968, and served in Thailand during the Vietnam War until honorably discharged in 1974. He worked as a driver for Bergen Limousine Company, a funeral assistant for Hennessey Heights Funeral Home, and an associate ambassador at Amazon in Teterboro, NJ.
Charlie especially loved music, photography, driving, woodworking, spending time in the garden, fixing things around the home, and continuing the family tradition of working the sausage stand at the annual Labor Day feast at St. Joseph’s Church Festival in Lodi, NJ.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
