Chester "Chet" J. Capparelli's Obituary
Chester John Capparelli, "Chet",of Hasbrouck Heights , 79, passed away on June 8th, 2014 in Hackensack University Hospital. Born in Jersey City to the late Salvatore and Maria (Stratico) Capparelli, he lived in Union City and graduated from Union Hill High School. From there he graduated from St. John's University and became a Pharmacist. He worked in Haggerty's Drug Store in Weehawken for many years. In 1965 he became a pharmaceutical representative for Ciba-Geigy. Eventually the company became Novartis where he was a Senior Medical Representative. He loved his job and was a familiar face around Bergen and Passaic Counties for 28 years. He lived in Hasbrouck Heights for 49 years. Chet is survived by his devoted wife of 51 loving years, Barbara A. (Kennedy) Capparelli, his beloved children, Doreen G. Dipasupil of Woodcliff Lake, Lisa A. Bunnell and her husband Steve of Dallas,Texas and Glenn B. Capparelli of Hasbrouck Heights, a loving sister in law, Gail Kennedy of Clifton, a dear sister Irene Bazzini and her husband Robert of Ridgewood, three cherished grandchildren Miles, Kyle and Aidan and is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews. Chet was an avid sports fan. He loved the original baseball Giants and when they moved he became a "Crazy" Mets fan. He also loved the New York Giants, the Knicks and the NY Rangers. Words cannot express his passion for his sports teams and his dogs. Viewing hours will be held on Wednesday, June 11th , 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Hennessey Heights Funeral Home, 232 Kipp Ave., Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. A Funeral Mass will Be offered on Thursday, June 12 at 11am at Corpus Christi RC Church, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. The final disposition will be held in private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Don Imus Pediatric Center for Tomorrows Children’s Fund at Hackensack Hospital 30 Prospect Avenue Hackensack, NJ 07601, in his memory.
