Christie Dare's Obituary
Christie Dare, 80, of Elmwood Park, NJ, passed away on September 9th, 2022 in Paterson, NJ. He was the husband of Mary Ann Dare (nee Cennimo). They shared 65 amazing years of marriage together.
Born in Little Ferry, Christie was the son of Helen and Christian Dare. Later in life, after his early education years, Christie attended and graduated from Bergen Tech. C/O 1960. He then entered a career as an electrician and joined the electrician’s union, a part of I.B.E.W. Local Union 164.
Christie was a man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved golf, his puzzles, television programs, and eating. Seafood was one of his favorites to enjoy! Christie was also an encouraging coach and patient mentor. He will always be remembered for his loving and caring “gentle giant” personality.
Christie is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his spouse, Mary Ann, children, and grandchildren: Derek (wife, Julia) Dare and children Shannon and Rachel; Steven (wife, Kathy) Dare and children Matthew (fiancée, Rebecca), Michael, and Tyler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a private cremation as per the family’s request. Memorial donations will be made in lieu of flowers to: Tomorrow’s Children Fund (http://www.tcfkid.org/) or to any local animal shelter of your choosing.
