I worked with Clarence via phone calls and emails for years--his brightness and positive outlook always made my day. I have always had great respect for his work and appreciated his partnership. His family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

I attended Florida A&M with Clarence . He was actually one of the first friends I made our freshman year. Over the years I have scoured the internet looking for him until a mutual friend and his freshman year roommate finally gave me his number a few months ago but I delayed calling . Something I will regret the rest of my life . Some people come in your life for a short period but make a profound impact. Clarence was one of those people in my life . To family I offer my most sincere condolences.

Clarence was always a true professional, I corresponded with him several times a week. Talking with Clarence was always a pleasure. He will be missed by all. I wish the family comfort and peace in this most difficult of times.

Clarence was one of the kindest and warmest people I have ever been blessed to know. Always a smile on his face even when dealing with a difficult situation. You would never know if he was in a bad mood because he simply never seemed to be. Easy to be around and just so down to earth. He had such an easy going way about him that just made it so comfortable to be around him.
My family will forever be grateful to have known this man. We will always be there for Meredith and their boys. They will never be alone.
Heaven has received the most special angel possible but I know his spirit will remain with us forever.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Clarence at ML back when he started there and, while it wasn't for very long, the impact he made with his smile, personality and work ethic has stayed with me over the years. He was truly one of the good guys in the business.
He was known and respected by everyone and did his job extraordinarily well. That is a great professional legacy to leave behind and I know his personal legacy is even greater. So many are thinking of and praying for you all at this very difficult time.
With Deepest Sympathy,

My sincere condolences to the Stevens family. I have worked with Clarence, mainly through phone calls and emails, over the past 5 years however I most enjoyed our lunch meetings a few times throughout the year. He was a pleasure to work with, was a true professional and always spoke with such pride of his family and always brought a smile to everyone's face. He will be missed by many. Wishing his family and friends strength during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathy to the Stevens family. I was lucky enough to work with Clarence when I was at ML and continued to work with at Guggenheim. He touched my life personally and professionally. He always went above and beyond to be a fantastic partner. He will be truly missed!
