Cynthia J Cornell's Obituary
Cynthia J. Cornell, 70, originally from Palisades Park, NJ, passed away peacefully at the end of a beautiful spring day, Tuesday, April 29th, 2025. She enjoyed tap class in her youth and would spend afternoons as an adult dancing to Phil Collins and Van Halen. She was a devoted mother of two children whom she loved deeply. On days when she was being particularly protective, she made her son wear a football helmet as a bicycle helmet. She would often take long rides and eat long lunches with her daughter. She volunteered at St. Nicholas Elementary School in Palisades Park.
She was quick to laugh and enjoyed jokes with hints of sarcasm. Her smile was warm and inviting to friends and strangers, whom she would endear to her with a simple and sincere “Oh, hi!” Later in life, she enjoyed video calls with her children, grandson, and granddaughter. She continued to love and miss her father, mother, and brother.
Cindy will be lovingly remembered by her son, Christopher Cornell; her daughter, Katelyn Rivera; her son-in-law, Moses Rivera; her grandson, Gabriel; and her granddaughter, Lyla.
