Daisy E Rivera's Obituary
Today we are honoring, celebrating, and remembering my mom Daisy Esperanza Vega-Rivera. Who was she? She was a woman of grace and courage, with a stubborn streak that showed up when she set her mind to something, like raising a family and immigrating to this country from Puerto Rico.
My mother was truly my best friend and I am humbled by the challenge of describing the fullness of her beauty and caring. I don't know how she did it, but Mom always found the perfect balance to raise her family. No matter what she found a way to help support us, and also she prioritized us. I always remember how she lead by example even with her marriage to my dad. They were together always , holding hands and handling life’s challenges . Being together on holidays , for parties. That time was sacred to our family. Her love and kindness were infused in everything she did, whether she was making her special “ cafecito” or just helping me make Puerto Rican pasteles for the holidays, each year reminded the same. Year after year, her love as strong as ever my fortress and safe place.
She had a magical way of bringing joy every time she walked into the room. No one who met her could forget her smile. And I’ll never forget the advice and the lessons she taught me. Her wisdom will forever guide the decisions I make through the rest of my life. I love you, Mom.
At 96 years old she is survived by ; Two children Daisy Morales and Andres Rivera. One son in law Ramon Morales. One daughter in law Consuelo Rivera. Four grandsons Andrew Rivera , Raymond Morales, David Morales, and Christopher Morales. Six great grand children Andrew Rivera, Bryanna Morales, Hannah Morales, Nathan Morales , Sophie Morales and Charlotte Morales
