David Roy Lembo's Obituary
David R. Lembo, 55, of Clifton, NJ passed away on July 6, 2019.
A visitation for all friends and family will be held at Hennessey Heights Funeral Home on Thursday, 7/11/19 from 7-9 pm.
David was born in Paterson, NJ to Valentine Michael Lembo (deceased) and Joan (Sweetman) Lembo on August 25 th , 1963. He attended and graduated from Passaic High School in 1981. Dave will always be known for his love of music and playing the guitar. But he was also very good with his hands; he could build anything just by looking at it and get most any car to run no matter how hopeless it seemed. He was always there for friends and family whenever they needed something fixed or built. Dave, along with his late wife Donna built a beautiful life in Vernon for their son, David
and lived happily there for many years. He used the skills he naturally had to work as an installer for ADT and technician for Fireco Equipment Company for many years. Most recently he did more commercial alarm and security installation work as long as his hands would permit. What he loved most and where he was able to make some really amazing friends lately was through coral reefing. His YouTube channel Dave’s Nano Tank and his beautiful 100-gallon salt water tank was one of the most beautiful
sights to see. His knowledge and appreciation for this hobby was vast and it brought him so much joy before he was stricken with ALS.
Dave is survived by his son, David Michael Lembo, Clifton, NJ; Both of his mothers, Joan Lembo, Casa Grande, AZ, and Teddy Szabo, Clifton, NJ; his siblings Jennifer Hammond, Casa Grande, AZ, Bobbie Lembo, Browns Mills, NJ, and Christine Maida, East Rutherford, NJ. Also his nieces and nephews – Fred Jacobs, Matamoras, PA, Valerie Ryan, Tucson, AZ, and Danielle Rose Maida, East Rutherford, NJ and their loving children he cared so much for. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna Szabo Lembo, his Father, Valentine Michael Lembo and his brother, Patrick John Lembo and his sister-in-law, JoAnn Szabo.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the hospice Villa Marie Claire at https://www.holyname.org/foundation/donation.aspx. They made his last weeks more comfortable and were wonderful to our family. They are only able to go on to continue to help families with donations. The family wishes to extend their love and gratitude to all of those that loved and visited Dave and prayed for him throughout this time.
