Derick Antonio Colon Ortiz's Obituary
Derick Antonio Colón, 37, passed away on March 17, 2022 at Palisades Medical Center. He was the partner of Zelmarie Rodriguez. They shared 13 wonderful years together.
Born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Andres A. Colón and Maria Esther Ortiz. He was employed at Garibaldi Hair Salon and worked as a Barber.
Derick enjoyed Basketball, Fighting Matches, and playing Tetris. He was very peaceful and will be remembered for his loving and friendly personality.
He is survived by his partner, Zelmarie Rodriguez, his children, Daniel L. Aviles, Deriel A. Colón, and Zairé Colón, his brothers, sisters, nephews, and other Colón family and friends..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23rd at Hennessey Heights Funeral Home located at 232 Kipp Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604. The interment will take place at La Vega cementerio en Barranquitas, Puerto Rico.
