On March 30th, we lost our beloved Devon; he was a kind loving soul with a heart of gold. Devon brought warmth, laughter, and a deep sense of authenticity to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Devon was passionate about music in every form. An avid musician, he spent countless hours playing the guitar and keyboard, often writing songs that reflected his creativity and depth. He found joy in listening to vinyl records, appreciating not just the sound but the experience. Devon loved performing at open mics with his friends, where he became known for his iconic leather fringe jacket and his long copper locks. Whether on stage or in the crowd, he also cherished going to live music shows and movies, always seeking moments that brought people together. Devon had a love for food that was both comforting and adventurous. He enjoyed home-cooked meals but was equally excited to explore new foods and restaurants, always eager to share those experiences with others. His appreciation extended to craft beers (especially stouts) and bourbons, often encouraging friends and family to try his latest discovery. A true animal lover, Devon had a special connection with both cats and dogs. Animals were naturally drawn to his gentle spirit, and he found comfort in their companionship just as they did in his. Devon’s goofy personality was matched by his unique and creative sense of humor. He had a gift for making others laugh and was never afraid to be the punchline himself. His infectious giggling fits (especially after his trips to Lambertville) were a reflection of his joyful, lighthearted nature that left a lasting impression on everyone around him. Devon’s presence made the world brighter, kinder, and more genuine. Having carried more than many knew, he is now at peace. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. We will forever love you and you will always be in our hearts. Honoring Devon’s wishes, there will be no formal services held. To honor his memory, take time to enjoy music, share a meal, raise a glass, and appreciate the comfort of your pets.
