It is with great sadness that I learned of the death of my good friend Don Fricelli. I met Don at Fordham through our mutual friend and colleague Ken Dupuy. Don, Ken, Larry Wolk and I formed a friendly and merry quarter who met regularly for lunch in a few places. They were guests in my home more than once. Two years ago my wife Carole, who also became Don's friend, drove up to Hyde Park with us to visit the FDR memorial there. As you probably know, Franklin Roosevelt was Don's favorite president.
When I was between positions, I found Don to be a considerate and helpful friend. Carole will always remember the tour Don gave us of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. He was a veritable encyclopedia of information on Art History. .
We will truly miss him. May he rest in blissful peace, Amen.
