Doris A Nieglos' Obituary
Doris Ann Nieglos, age 91, entered into eternity with her Messiah Jesus (Yeshua) on March 21, 2022, in Hackensack, N.J. She was the widow of Thomas T. Nieglos. They shared 42 years of marriage together, most of those years in their home in Clifton, N.J., prior to their move to Manchester, N.J. in 1994. Born in Passaic, N.J. on October 29, 1930, she was the daughter of John (Yonah) K. Eschenko and Anna Eschencko (née Kosina). She graduated from Passaic High School and held positions as a bookkeeper in various firms. She was also a County Clerk in the Passaic County Courthouse and had her own costume jewelry business. She was a Commissioner for Passaic County’s Camp Hope, a woodland retreat on the shores of Greenwood Lake in West Milford, N.J. In her earlier years, she was a member of the Polish National Catholic Church in Passaic, N.J. In later years, she was a member of Hope of the World Ministries. She loved the Lord Jesus (Yeshua) and enjoyed reading Biblical devotionals. Doris loved her cats, the Jersey shore, especially her condo in Bradley Beach, and her home in Manchester. She also enjoyed her timeshare property in Clearwater, Florida. She traveled throughout the state of New Jersey with her late sister-in-law and “buddy” June Varden Nieglos, with whom she also traveled to Las Vegas. She went to Broadway shows and concerts in New York City. She also enjoyed cooking delicious meals, playing cards, and mahjong.
She is survived by her only son Ken Nieglos, his wife Anne, and her calico cat Mini. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Paluch Nieglos and June Norbe Nieglos, and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas, her brother John Eschenko, Jr., and her parents.
