Dorothy J Giesenhaus' Obituary
With aching hearts, we honor the life of Dorothy Giesenhaus who passed away on September 8, 2025 at the age of 85.
Dorothy was a devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Jim and Dorothy met in Jersey City and were married for 64 years. They were devoted to their two beautiful daughters Karen and JoAnn. “Nan” was the best grandmother you could ask for and she deeply cherished her two grandchildren, Jessica and Brenden.
Dorothy had a firecracker personality and loved to tell stories, always making everyone laugh, sometimes to tears. Dorothy had such a generous, compassionate heart. She was a giver, loved helping others and made those around her feel very special. She got joy from making other people happy.
Dorothy loved working and enjoyed giving her time and talents to her different jobs over the years. She was a very dedicated employee. Dorothy always loved shopping, finding a good buy, especially at TJ Maxx or on QVC. She enjoyed playing games like Yahtzee or Zuma.
Dorothy’s boundless love and shining spirit will continue to comfort and guide those she loved so deeply. May she rest in God’s peace.
