Edward J. Klepp Jr. of Paramus, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Valley
Hospital in Paramus.
Born in Jersey City, NJ to Edward Sr. and Marjorie (O’Hara) Klepp, Edward Jr. grew up in Harrison, lived in Clifton, and spent the latter part of his adult life in Secaucus before moving to Paramus earlier this year.
Ed worked as a salesman in the bread business for many years, for the Fischer Baking Company,
Pechter’s Baking Company, and Fink Baking Company.
Predeceased by his sister Dolores (Klepp) Calcagno (2004), his wife Jean (Williams) Klepp (2007), and most recently, his longtime companion Cecile Salafrio (2019), Ed is survived by his sister Linda (Klepp) Verdino (husband Victor); daughters Elizabeth Francis (husband Brian) and Jean Cooley (husband Tim); grandchildren Ashley, Brittany, Colette, Kelee, Matthew, Brett, and Brad; great-grandchildren Cortland, Hayden, Bella, Deanna, Michael, Brecken, Astrid, and Thorin.
Per Ed’s request, there will be no viewing services. A funeral mass will be held at the Church of Saint Mary, 90 Home Ave., Rutherford, NJ on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jersey City Fire Foundation, 116 Mallory Ave., Jersey City, NJ 07304, or to the NJ Veterans Memorial Home, 1 Veterans Way, Paramus, NJ 07562.
