Edward Gerard Savick's Obituary
Edward G.Savick 69 years old from Ogdensburg NJ passed away on June 10, 2024, at WestChester Medical Center, NY.He was born in Elizabeth NJ and was the son of the late Sergeant Edward E. Savick of Roselle, NJ and Dorothy A. Savick. He attended St Joseph Elementary School, and graduated from Abraham Clark High School in Roselle NJ. He obtained training and certifications in security and maintenance and held various positions over the years and excelled in the field for most of his life. He was always a dedicated employee and his most recent employment of 25 years was at Sussex County Technical School, NJ. He was affiliated with many fire, security and law enforcement agencies throughout his career and supported veteran groups. He loved animals especially cats and supported animal organization's whenever possible. In his spare time he loved camping, hiking and fishing. He was a down to earth homebody and unique individual that loved his family and friends and was loved by many, which included sisters, a brother, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He also had very close friends and many friends he met while camping and throughout out his life who called him Uncle Eddie.He will be
dearly missed by all.He is survived by sisters and brother; Patricia Emme (Robert Emme) of MD, Mark Savick, (Norma Savick) PR, Dorothy Leuchs (Mike Leuchs) NJ, Lorraine Conforti (Phil Conforti) NJ, and was Predeceased by his sister Mary Jane Foley (Pat Foley) PA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22,2024 at Hennessy Heights Funeral Home, 232 Kipp Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights NJ 07604 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm with a private inurnment following on Monday.
