Eric Nelson's Obituary
So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. - John 16:22
Eric Leon Nelson, son of Marie Nelson and Leo Foxx, was born May 29th, 1971 in Newark, New Jersey. He was one of three siblings. In his teen years, he went to Weequahic High School where he got to fulfill his love for music. During his attendance there, he played the trumpet in the Marching Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Band. He was known as the jokester across the school and made many long-lasting friendships.
Eric worked at Quoizel in the Ironbound District of Newark as a fork lift driver and machine operator for several years. He also worked as a construction laborer. Eric was very crafty and had a love for the construction trade. In his later years, he relocated to Bronx, New York. He was a man of the city and always knew how to navigate obstacles and socialize with people from different backgrounds and walks of life. Throughout his life, he’s been known as a loving, funny, and charismatic person.
Eric loved to watch football and movies, play music, walk in the park, and chat with friends. He could light up a room immediately and grasp the attention of everyone with his wise cracking jokes. Eric leaves to cherish memories with his Daughter—Tazhah Nelson, Grandchildren—Tazirah and Tashelle Nelson, his Siblings—Myra and Lisa Nelson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and special friends.
