WILSON
Florence Jean, 86, of the Township of Washington for 50 years, passed on May 5, 2015.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Stephen A. Wilson (1983), sisters Julia M. Thoss (1995) and Betty Kasuba, and brothers Stanley Felchak (2011) and John Felchak. Survived by her loving daughter Karen Roth Wilson and her life partner John Downey. Cherished aunt to Kurt Thoss of Fort Lauderdale, FL, who has served as her caregiver for the last ten years, Stan, Mickey, John and Debra Felchak of Phoenix, AZ, Bobby Kasuba of Pennsylvania and Ronald Kasuba of Florida.
Florence was an active member of The Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel. She also enjoyed being a member of the Township of Washington Women’s Club where she used Fashion to raise money for scholarships. She also loved her job as a Suites Captain at the Izod Center (formerly Brendan Byrne Arena and Continental Airlines Arena) and also Giants Stadium. She was a member of the Lake Washington Association and was active with the Girl Scouts, Westwood Troop.
Funeral from the Hennessey Heights Funeral Home, 232 Kipp Ave, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ on Monday, May 11 at 10:00am. Service at the funeral home at 11:00am. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation SATURDAY May 9th from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be sent in Florence’s name to the Girl Scouts of America Westwood, NJ Troop or any troop of your choosing.
