George Patrick Armonaitis Sr. passed away suddenly on November 24, 2012 in Ocala, Florida. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on September 20 , 1939.
George lived in New Jersey and Houston, Texas before moving to Ocala. Florida in 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Isabella; his brother William and his sister Patricia Conklin. He was the beloved husband of his wife of 49 years Eileen Leach Armonaitis, beloved father of George Jr. and daughter-in-law Faith. He also survived by his most cherished grandchildren Katie and George III Trey of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He retired from Shell Oil in 1993, after 30 years. He worked in the finance department in their New York and Houston offices.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Hennessey Funeral Home in Hasbrouck Heights. A memorial mass will be held at 10 am at Corpus Christi Church in Hasbrouck Heights, on Friday, November 30, before internment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
