Grafton Evelyn's Obituary
Grafton St. Doll Evelyn, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on
August 13, 2025, at the Lion VA Hospital. He was 72 years old. Born in Barbados on March
14, 1953, Grafton eventually made the United States his home, where he proudly served his
country in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. Known for his deep love of jazz and reggae
music and his talent in the kitchen, he brought joy and flavor into the lives of everyone around
him. After completing his military service, Grafton worked as a chef at a nursing home, where
he combined his passion for cooking with his dedication to caring for others. He later
transitioned into a career in sales, where his charisma and people skills shone. Upon
retiring, he and his wife, Ofelia Evelyn, moved to Colombia, enjoying 13 wonderful years
there before returning to the United States due to his declining health. Until his final days,
Ofelia was by his side, ensuring he was surrounded by love and dignity. Grafton is survived
by his devoted wife of 27 years, Ofelia; his children, Andres Evelyn, Christopher Evelyn, and
Alejandra Baron; and countless friends and loved ones who will remember him for his
warmth, humor, and unshakable spirit.
