Hermes Alberto Rebellon Velez, falleció rodeado de su familia, el 31 de Marzo del 2024. Nació el 16 de Diciembre del 1956 en La Victoria, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. Hijo de Alberto Rebellon y Ceneida Velez, Hermes emigró a los Estados Unidos en el año 1986 en búsqueda de mejores oportunidades para su familia y a través de los años estableció raíces que dieron fruto y su familia creció.
Hermes siempre será recordado por sus familiares y sus amigos por ser la alegría de todo tipo de reunión y siempre hacernos reír con sus cuentos y payasadas. Un ser amable recordado por su voluntad de ayudar a cualquier persona. Hermes, “Melcocha” ,“Beto”, era como su familia y amigos lo llamaban de cariño. Y que para sus nietos siempre será, en sus propias palabras, ‘el abuelo pachanguero’.
Hermes era un fiel apasionado del fútbol, las motos, camiones, y mecánica. Los que lo conocían, sabían que no le podían hablar mal de su Real Madrid y que el día que el Real Madrid perdía, ese día no teníamos un chiste de su parte.
El legado de Hermes continúa en su madre, Ceneida Velez Rebellon; sus hijos, Nilton Jhonier, Dani Alberto, Kate y Cindy Melissa; sus hermanos, Maria Eucaris, Maria Nelcy, y Gerardo Agusto y sus nietos Stephanie, Jonathan, Aubree, Noah Jaxon y Caleb James.
Hermes será profundamente extrañado por su familia y amigos, pero su alegría vivirá por siempre en nuestros corazones, Acompáñenos a celebrar su vida y despedirlo para que descanse en paz.

Hermes Alberto Rebellon Velez, passed away surrounded by his family, on March 31, 2024. He was born on December 16, 1956 in La Victoria, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. Son of Alberto Rebellon and Ceneida Velez, Hermes emigrated to the United States in 1986 in search of better opportunities for his family and over the years he established roots that bore fruit and his family grew.
Hermes will always be remembered by his family and friends for being the joy of all types of gatherings and always making us laugh with his stories and antics. A kind being remembered for his willingness to help anyone. Hermes, “Melcocha”, “Beto”, was what his family and friends affectionately called him. And for his grandchildren he will always be, in his own words, “el abuelo pachanguero”.
Hermes was a true fan of football, motorcycles, trucks, and mechanics. Those who knew him knew that they could not speak ill of his Real Madrid and that the day Real Madrid lost, that day we did not have a joke from him.
Hermes' legacy continues in his mother, Ceneida Velez Rebellon; his children, Nilton Jhonier, Dani Alberto, Kate and Cindy Melissa; his siblings, Maria Eucaris, Maria Nelcy, and Gerardo Agusto and his grandchildren Stephanie, Jonathan, Aubree, Noah Jaxon and Caleb James.
Hermes will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his joy will live forever in our hearts. Please join us in celebrating his life and saying goodbye so he may rest in peace.
