Hope Tinn Clark's Obituary
Hope Tinn Clark, age 97, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully on April 1st 2014. Hope was born in Bay Ridge to the late Gilbert Tristan and Catherine (Laird) Tinn. She attended Bay Ridge High School and graduated with Honors from New York Tech with an Associates Degree. She worked for the New York Telephone Company and retired from the Ft. Hamilton Army Base as a Testing Administrator. Hope was a life-long avid reader.
She is survived by her beloved children, Carol Clark Checkett, John Clark, and Dawn Clark Schollin, six cherished grandchildren and eight adored great grandchildren, a loving son-in-law, Rick, a loving daughter-in-law, Joan, devoted nieces and nephews and her dear sister-in-law, Lorraine.
Hope was predeceased by her husband, James J. Clark, her precious son, Jimmy Clark Jr., her dear grandson, Chet Checkett lll, three loving brothers, Stanley Tinn, Gilbert Tinn, and John Tinn and three loving sisters, Violet Etheridge, Millicent Taylor, and Victoria Tinn.
Hope was very proud of her husband and brothers who all served in WWll and her son, Jack's service in Vietnam.
Viewing hours will be held on Sunday, April 6th, 2014 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Hennessey Heights Funeral Home 232 Kipp Ave. Hasbrouch Heights, NJ. A Funeral service will be held Monday 10am also at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Saint Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY, where Hope will be laid to rest near her darling son, Jimmy.
