Jean R. Rached's Obituary
Jean R. Rached, born April 26, 1944, passed away on March 7, 2023 at home with his family. He was the husband of Mona Rached, sharing 45 years together. Born in Beirut, Lebanon to Rached and Jamile Rached, originally from Haitourah. He graduated college with a degree in Accounting, immigrated to the United States in 1984 fleeing the civil war in Lebanon and worked as a warehouse manager in the US. He was a devoted Christian Maronite and enjoyed the company of family and friends.
Jean will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, generosity and his strong work ethic - all of which he instilled in his daughters along with the love of food, cards and backgammon. He is survived by his beloved wife Mona, their 2 daughters Nadine Calderon and her husband Shawn, and Paola Calderon and her husband Scott, his four grandchildren Aiden, Regan, Carlo and Enzo, his nephews and nieces, Roger Rached, Elsa Swan, Stehanie Hathout, Rachad Rached, Marie Abousamra and George Francis and several great nieces. He is predeceased by his brother Antoine Rached and Joseph Rached.
Visiting hours will be held at Hennessy Funeral Home on Friday, March 10th from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Final viewing will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 11th to be followed by a funeral mass at Corpus Christi Church at 11 a.m.
