Joan "Dawn" Barnes' Obituary
Barnes, Joan “Dawn”, 79, of Lodi, formerly of Belleville, passed away on October 29,2017. Dawn was born in Garfield, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Irene (Martens) Dudek. She was employed by First Student in Englewood NJ as a Bus Aide for Special Needs Children. Dawn was an artist and loved working with special needs children.
She is survived by her beloved son, Robert Thomas Barnes and his wife Michele, her loving brother Robert Dudek and her cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Jennifer and Melissa Barnes and Daniel Dixon. Dawn was pre-deceased by her dear daughter Susan Barnes-Dixon. A memorial gathering will be held Friday, November 3, 2017, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Hennessey Heights Funeral Home, 232 Kipp Ave., Hasbrouck Heights, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial to Celebrate her life will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Church Of The Sacred Heart, Rochelle Park, NJ. Entombment of ashes will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington on Saturday following the Mass.
