Joan R Weiss' Obituary
WEISS, Joan Ruth, 83, of Fort Lee, passed away on October 19, 2017. Joan was a passionate educator, gifted artist, and adventurous world traveler. Born in the Bronx to David and Florence Weiss, Joan taught art in NYC public schools for over 30 years. She was predeceased by her beloved sister, Barbara (Weiss) Schlossberg, and brother-in-law Jerry Schlossberg, of Englewood. Joan is survived by her dear companion and partner, Sidney Adlerstein, her nephews and niece, Peter, Andy, Jane, Todd, and David Schlossberg, her grand nieces and nephews, her grandchildren, cousins, and many friends. Joan will be missed by all whose lives she touched. A celebration of Joan’s life will be arranged.
