John S Pelli's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our brother John Pelli, aka "Rico" 58 years young of Jersey City, who passed on November 30, 2025. His life was marked by deep love for his family especially our Mother who he nicknamed "Me You" he always said it was going to be "Me and You Mom"
Although John faced many struggles, he always remained someone we cared deeply for and we loved him unconditionally after all he was a baby brother.
Born on the feast of the Assumption, he had a very strong faith and always wore religious items around his neck his entire life. He wanted to keep Jesus close to him at all times.
He was funny and handsome with a big heart and a he had a beautiful soul. Though he walked hard road at times, his challenges never defined the totality of who he was. He was our brother whose story mattered and whose absence will be felt profoundly.
We take comfort in knowing he is now at peace.
John is survived by his brother Joe Pelli and his wife Barbara, his sisters Linda Nugent and her husband Timmy, Nancy Fischl and her husband Eddie and Lisa Balestrieri and her husband Bobby and many nieces and nephews.
John is predeceased by his parents Jimmy and Nancy Pelli, brothers David Pelli and Vinny Pelli and his sisters Cathy Dougherty and Fran Rodriguez.
