Johnathan Richard Torres "JT"'s Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Johnathan Richard Torres, 21, of Maywood, NJ, also known as JT to his friends, who left us way too early on July 15th, 2025. Johnathan was born on April 19th, 2004, in Englewood, NJ, to Selena Bohan and Juan Carlos Torres. Johnathan was the greatest gift and the best Son and Brother ever.
Johnathan was a 2022 graduate of Hackensack High School, and currently pursuing a Business Administration degree at Bergen County Community College. He also had a passion for finance and trading. Johnathan was known for his bright, infectious spirit and his love for life. From a young age, he had a passion for cars, one that only grew as he did. His dream was to own a Mustang GT, a dream he made a reality by purchasing his very own red 2007 Mustang GT and building it up with his own hands. A true car enthusiast, he loved attending car meets, working on his vehicle, and talking shop with friends.
Johnathan was not just someone who loved cars, he loved people. He was selfless, always thinking of others, and had a natural ability to make everyone feel special. His energy was unmatched, and his laughter, singing, and dancing could light up any room. He had a way of making you feel like the most important person there. Whether he was hanging out with friends, working out, or just being himself, his presence brought joy to all who knew him.
Johnathan leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his loving parents, Selena Bohan and Juan Carlos Torres, his brother Blake, and sisters Samantha and Angela. He was also the beloved grandson of Millie and Papa Bob, and Lucia and Julio. Johnathan will be missed by his cousins, Amaya, Ayla, and Adam, as well as a larger circle of cousins, family, and friends who were fortunate enough to know him... to know him, was to love him. Johnathan now joins his grandfather, Richard T Bohan, and his aunt, Tricia Franey, who welcome him home from above.
Johnathan was an organ donor, and his gifts have been successfully placed, offering life and hope to others. Though Johnathan is no longer with us here on earth, the vibrant spirit he carried, his kindness, and his love for life will forever carry on in all of our hearts. May Johnathan rest in peace.
