Joseph G Kirincich's Obituary
Joseph G. Kirincich, a devoted husband, father and poppy, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2021. He was the loving husband of Irene (nee Tyburski) of 60 years. Born in the Bronx, NY in 1932, he was the son of the Helen (nee Rencic) and John Kirincich. Joe served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked at the New York City Public Library and put himself through college, attending New York University and graduating with a degree in Engineering. Joe was a Mechanical Engineer for Otis elevators for most of his career. Prior to retirement and after many years as an Engineer, Joe switched gears and became the owner of Minuteman Press in Ridgewood NJ. Joe and Irene married in 1960 and lived in New York until they started a family. At that time they moved to their home in Saddle River, New Jersey where they raised three children and
enjoyed many visits from their three grandchildren. Joe was the salt of the earth. He was a family man, a very hands-on father and poppy. He
loved attending the many sporting events and school activities that his children, and later his grandchildren participated in. Through the years, Joe occupied his time with fishing, tennis, reading the daily newspaper and never turning down a game of whiffle ball with the kids. A big
hit with the grandchildren was when Poppy crafted paper mâché pinatas for family birthday parties. Joe enjoyed home projects and dabbled in many, none too big or too small. He enjoyed watching sports of all kinds especially baseball and the Yankees. Many Sundays were spent watching the Giants and enjoying pizza and apple pie with his brother, John who raised
his three children in the neighboring town. During retirement Joe and Irene travelled, went to the movies weekly and spent time with their grandchildren. Joe took great pride in his home and looked forward to nice weather to be able to work in the yard as well as remaining very
active by going to the gym daily. In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his children, Valerie and her husband Bobby of Rhode
Island, Karen of New Jersey and Joe and his wife Roxanne of New Jersey. Additionally, he is survived by his grandchildren, Allie, Nicole and Zachary, who will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his brother, John.
