Joyce L. Varga's Obituary
Joyce L. Varga, age 81, of Oakland, NJ passed away on December 21, 2015 surrounded by her family. Joyce was born in Sutton-in-Ashfield, England and was the daughter of the late David Glyn and the late Lilian (Cook) Price. Joyce was a member of OLPH where she was a Eucharistic Minister, a member (and former first lady) of the Red Hats Society, and the OLPH Prime Timers all in Oakland, NJ. She was a founding director of Oakland Recreation girls soccer, was an Oakland Recreation softball coach, and a former member of the Women's Club and Mother's Club. Joyce worked at Valley Hospital in both the accounts payable and supply and distribution departments. She is survived by her beloved children, Teresa Varga Kilday and spouse Daniel, Geoffrey Varga and spouse Kelly, and Chris Price; her loving siblings, Ellen Shields,Glenys Evans, Janice Price, Enid Wasserman, Dennis Price, a special sister-in-law Ilona Bekefi, and her cherished grandchildren, Hannah Joyce, Joseph Gareth, and Noah Thomas Kilday; John Joseph, Emery Jeanne, and Owen Geoffrey Varga. Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews in the USA, UK, and Hungary. Mrs.Varga was predeceased by her devoted husband, Jozsef, her dear siblings Geoffrey Price and Beryl Butlin . A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, December 26th, 2015 10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Oakland, NJ followed by a celebration of her life at the home of Teresa Kilday. Mourners may stop in to pay their respects at the home of the Kildays between Noon - 4:00 pm on December 26. Cremation will be private. Contributions to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
