Kathleen Whitney's Obituary
Kathleen Whitney, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024, in Englewood, New Jersey. She was 65 years old.
Kathleen was born on October 22, 1958, in Haworth, New Jersey, to Fred and Mary (Knox) Ulrich. She was brought up in Haworth, New Jersey and lived and worked in Bergen County her entire life. Kathleen worked for Bergen County Special Transportation Services. Her kindness and left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Above all, Kathleen cherished her roles as a mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She instilled in her children love and strong moral compass, traits that continue to guide them today. Kathleen's grandchild was the light of her life, and she enjoyed watching her grow and thrive.
With this said, Kathleen Whitney will be deeply missed by her loving family: her children, Michael (Lauren) Whitney and Scott Whitney; her grandchild Harper; her siblings, Patricia, Michael, William, Chris and Sue; as well as many nieces and nephews, and of course her dog Harvey.
A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held at Hennessey Heights Funeral Home on July 21, 2024, from 1PM to 5PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to support research and provide services to those in need.
