Laura Jeanne Barlow's Obituary
Laura Jeanne Barlow, age 87, passed away on February 1, 2024. Born in Englewood, New
Jersey in 1936, she was the youngest and last surviving Daughter of Fred Wernli and Anna
Julia Wiesner. She was the mother of three boys, active in Scouting and the Montvale Athletic
League as a baseball coach and as a past Auxiliary Officer for the league.
When her children graduated, she returned to work, first as a nurse before moving into banking.
She was a processor, an underwriter and senior underwriter for several mortgage companies.
Then Laura owned two commercial real estate consulting companies before retiring. After
retiring Laura was active in the Lodi Senior Citizens Club, the local AARP chapter and was also
a past Secretary for the Lodi Senior Citizens Club.
She will be remembered for her loving care for her family, children, grandchildren, and great
grandchildren. Travelling around the world to be with them. She is survived by two of her sons,
Sam Barlow, his wife, Arlene Barlow of Mount Juliet, Tennessee and Robert Barlow and his
wife, Brenda Barlow of Lodi, New Jersey.
She is also survived by her Grandchildren; Jacqueline Barlow of Hermitage, Tennessee;
Elizabeth Barlow of Rutherford; Katie Byrnes and her husband, Jeff Byrnes of Mt Juliet,
Tennessee with two great grandchildren Abigail and Isabel Byrnes; Robert Barlow of Jersey
City, New Jersey and fiancé Kristen Coffin; Christina Offermans of Fresialaan, Netherlands and
her husband Patrick Offermans with two great grandchildren Owen and Zoey Offermans;
Pamela Whiteside of Newton Abbot, United Kingdom and her husband Dr. Mark Whiteside
She is predeceased by her mother Anna Julie Wiesner and father, Fred Wernli, her youngest
son, Thomas Joseph Barlow as well as her older sisters, Katie, Winnie, Emma, and Marilyn.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 10 th , 2024, at Hennessey Heights
Funeral Home, 232 Kipp Ave, Hasbrouck Heights NJ 07604 from 2PM until 4PM.
