Liza A Friedlander's Obituary
Liza A. Friedlander was born on June 30, 1966, died unexpectedly on Sunday, October 25, in New York City.
Friedlander grew up in Redding, CT and Edgewater NJ. She attended University of Tampa, and worked as a loss prevention specialist before founding a successful private investigation company in the 1990s. Her work in music was well known in clubs around the world, and she enjoyed success there as well, including a visit to the Billboard top ten for her genre.
Treasured by a huge circle of friends from all walks of life, Liza is survived by her family members, brother Beau Friedlander (Guinevere van Seenus), sister Abigail Salois (James Salois), sister Diane Bass (Scott Bowie), step-mother Diana Friedlander, nieces Ella Friedlander, Esther Friedlander, and Anna Salois and a nephew, Jacob Salois. She is also survived by her beloved dogs Petunia and Lady.
Liza was predeceased by her beloved parents, Arnold Philip Friedlander and Frances Booth Batey.
Due to COVID-19, Liza's family and friends will come together for a private virtual gathering on Sunday, November 1, at 2:00 PM. An in-person celebration of life will take place when it is safe to do so.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest a donation to the ASPCA or a no-kill animal rescue of your choice.
