Louis Fernando Maldonado, 63, of Elmwood Park, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Barbara (nee Gassler). The greatest joy in his life was his daughters Angelica Alexis Perez and her husband Adonis and Madison Alysia Maldonado. The beloved son of Mercedes and Luis Maldonado and cherished brother of Wilson and his wife Maria, John and Oscar. Caring son-in-law to Claire Gassler and brother-in-law to Russell Gassler, Deborah and Robert
Grant and Robert and Marlene Gassler. The endeared uncle to Daniel, Alan, Eric, Louis, Kristen, Sofia, Sebastian and Santiago. Although he didn’t get to meet his precious grandchildren Isabella
and Austin in person, he already adored them. Louis had a big heart for animals and will be missed by his “four legged” friends Hershey and Cameo. We will never forget Louis’s beautiful smile as he lives on in our hearts for always.
