Louis G Pahountis' Obituary
Louis G Pahountis, 92, of Saddle Brook, NJ passed away peacefully at home on June 12, 2022.
Born in Karpathos, Greece in 1929, he immigrated to the United States at the age of twenty, settling in Logan, West Virginia. After marrying his wife Sophia, they settled in Saddle Brook, NJ, where he owned several successful businesses throughout the years. Although a strong work ethic was ingrained in him, he understood the foundation of his life was his family.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sophia (nee Lambrinos). Left to cherish his memory are his children, Maria Damin and her husband Marty, Eva Pahountis, and George Pahountis and his partner, Karen Bozza. Beloved grandfather to Sergio C Gatoulis and his wife Anastasia, Elias Gatoulis and his wife Erato, Louie Pahountis and Cristina Pahountis. Cherished great-grandfather to Constantine S. Gatoulis, Maria Theodora Gatoulis, Constantine E. Gatoulis and Leonidas Gatoulis. He is also survived by his sisters, Evaggelia Zanakis and Kalliope Christo, along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15th at 10:00 am at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, Paramus, NJ, with a funeral service immediately following. Burial will take place at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus at 12:30pm.
