Geraghty, Martin J. 77, of Wood-Ridge on March 26, 2012. Martin was born in Castleroyan, Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo, Ireland and emigrated to the United States in 1957. He was a devoted husband of the late Margaret nee Hyland. Beloved father of Michael and his wife Eileen, Jacqueline Monteleone and her husband Mark and Carmel Ritchie and her husband Michael. Loving brother of Thomas Geraghty deceasedHelena McGovern, Christopher and Michael Geraghty. Cherished grandfather of Clare, Michael Jr, John, James Geraghty, Grace and Colin Monteleone, Margaret and Bernadette Ritchie.
Martin was a long time member of the Bergen Irish Organization, Dumont, and a parishioner and usher at Assumption Church RC Church Wood-Ridge. He was retired member of Local 14 of the International Union of Operating Engineers, NYC. He was the owner of Carlstadt Wine & Liquors and operated a catering business as well for many years. His sense of humor, love of dancing, bright smile and Irish wit will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to know him.
Friends and Relatives are invited to attend a funeral from the Hennessey Heights Funeral Home at 232 Kipp Avenue Hasbrouck Heights, on Saturday March 31st 2012 at 9am thence to Assumption R.C. Church where a mass will be celebrated at 10am.Visiting Thursday 7-9pm, Friday 3-5 & 7-9pm. Burial will be in Kiltimagh, Co Mayo Ireland.
