Nellie A. Pene's Obituary
On 12/7/2018 Nellie (Anastasia) Pene passed peacefully at home. A resident of Lodi for over 50 years, Nellie had been an active member of St. Francis de Sales parish and was a staple in the auditorium calling Bingo for many, many years. She was an avid reader and a life long NY Yankees fan. Nellie was predeceased by her husband, Victor in 1977. Victor, a Master Sargent in the U.S. Air Force became disabled during his service and Nellie cared for him at home while raising 3 children. She was a strong woman who devoted herself to her family, their care and happiness.
Her three children and spouses, Victor Jr., Michele and husband Peter, and Christine and husband Michael, were truly blessed to have had her in their lives for so very many years. Nellie also leaves behind five grandchildren and and one great grandchild. Kwynn, Breyden, Leigh and her daughter Averie, Alexandra and her husband Taylor.
Nellie will be truly missed by all who knew her. She had a gentle, caring and giving heart and would lend help and support to anyone in need.
Nellie, upon her request, will be cremated. There will be no visitation services as she didn't want tears, only fond and loving memories.
A funeral mass will be held at St Francis De Sales Church in Lodi on Monday December 17, 2018 at 10:30am. Burial to follow
