Patricia Ann Barnett's Obituary
Patricia Barnett passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on November 20th at Hackensack Medical Center surrounded by loving family. Patricia Barnett was born in Passaic General Hospital in NJ on June 7th 1943. Patricia was married to Thomas Barnett in 1994; they were married for 30 years. She worked at Hackensack superior court as a court clerk for 20 years under Judge Gaeta until she retired.
Patricia is survived by her husband Thomas Barnett; sister Elaine Molter, son William Tinger, daughter in law Kasia Tinger, daughter Jill Cortiana, son in law Ron Cortiana, Grandchildren include Jennifer Tinger, Megan Tinger, Lindsey Cortiana, Nicholas Cortiana, Dylan Cortiana, 2 great grandchildren, step children include Bobby Barnett, and Nancy Barnett; Kathy Hickey, and Kevin Hickey, and grand step children Matthew Barnett, Marissa Barnett, Shannon Hickey, Declan Hickey, nephew Paulie and family, and niece Elizabeth Parsekian. Patricia’s furry companion Willow will also miss her deeply.
Patricia is preceded in death by her sister Lorraine, Aunts, Uncles, and her first dog Katie. Not only was Patricia a loving wife, she was an amazing mother, grandma, great-grandma, and aunt to many of her loved ones. She found immense joy in summer vacations spent down the shore in Pt. Pleasant Beach with her beloved family creating unforgettable memories. She was a talented baker and cook, she was delighted to prepare and cook meals for her loved ones, especially during the festive Christmas season, which she cherished as a time for family to be together.
Patricia also had a passion to shop at Marshalls where she often went almost every day. Every year she also looked forward to embarking on cruises with her devoted husband Thomas, exploring new places and revisiting favorites from past years. Her warmth, kindness and love will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to American Diabetes Association since Patricia had type 2 Diabetes for 21 years. She still managed to keep a smile on anyone’s faces that she talked to.
