Peter Charles Salvetti's Obituary
Peter Salvetti, 68, Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle, raised in Hoboken, NJ, passed away on July 18, 2025, at Valley Hospital. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Peter was a proud Navy veteran and a longtime car salesman and general manager at Communipaw Auto, where he was known for his friendly smile, strong work ethic, and genuine care for his customers.
Peter was a high school graduate who built a life rooted in dedication to his family and service to others. He had a deep love of food and found great joy in cooking for his loved ones. His home-cooked meals were more than just food—they were gifts of love and a reflection of the warm, generous spirit that defined him.
Peter is survived by his former wife, Patricia Campese, and their cherished daughters, Marialyce DeAngelis and Theresa Salvetti-Schilt and his sons Steven DeAngelis and Nicholas Schilt.
He leaves behind three beloved grandchildren—Penelope, Anthony, and Charlotte—who brought immense pride and happiness to his life. Peter is also survived by his devoted siblings: Mary Alice Gareffa, Robert Salvetti, Roseanne Salvetti, Berger Salvetti, and Thomas Salvetti, along with his sixteen nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved deeply.
Peter will be remembered for his sense of humor, big heart, and the way he brought people together—often around a table filled with food he prepared himself.
A visitation will be held at Hennessy-Heights Funeral Home in Hasbrouck Heights on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 3PM until 8PM. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Hasbrouck Heights, on Wednesday, July 23 at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Peter by sharing a meal with those you love, just as he would have wanted.
