Rosa Elvira Hernandez's Obituary
Rosa Elvira Hernandez, 75, from Florida (recently of Garfield, NJ), passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025. Born in Itagüí, Colombia, she immigrated to New Jersey in 1969, where she built a beautiful life surrounded by family and friends.
She was the beloved partner of José Alejandro Quiroz and a devoted mother to her daughters, Tatiana Rosero (Rene Hernandez) and Nathalie Quiroz (Ruben Rivera). She was a cherished grandmother to David, Adrian, Brandon, Hendrix, and Alexander, and a loving pet mom to Mia.
Rosa was a hardworking and dedicated assembly line worker at Gemini/Philips Electronic Company. She retired from her labors 17 years ago. Outside of work, she found joy in cooking, sharing her treasured recipes, shopping, and watching her favorite show, Enamorándonos. Most of all, she loved spending time with her daughters, grandsons, and extended family. She was a woman of great humility, kindness, and generosity—a heart of gold who made everyone feel at home with her delicious cooking and warm spirit.
She was a devoted member of Most Holy Name Church and carried her faith in all that she did.
Rosa is survived by her siblings: Luz Elena Salazar, Rodrigo De Jesús Hernandez, Alba Nury Gomez, Olga Cecilia Londoño, Maria Eugenia Hernandez, Luis Eduardo Hernandez, and Gladys De Socorro Reynoso, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
