Rose Tavolaro's Obituary
Rose (nee Pachella) Tavolaro, age 99 died on February 5, 2025.
Rose was born and raised in Lodi by her late parents, Peter and Mary Pachella. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, class of 1942. She was married to Livio Tavolaro, originally from Carlstadt and Lodi. They belonged to the Lodi Seniors Club and the Lodi AARP Club. They enjoyed the many friends they made and trips they went on. Rose and Livio attended the St Francis de Sales Church for about 65 years.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Livio who died on 4-22-2015 at age 91, a daughter Mary Lynn (Tavolaro) Huff of Georgia who died on 8-22-15 at age 56, a sister Lucy and her husbands, Angelo Fusco of Garfield and Robert Preston (they moved to Florida), a brother Victor and wife Carmella of Lodi, a brother Daniel and wife Josephine of Lodi. Rose was predeceased by all of her Pachella and Tavolaro families of her generation.
Rose is survived by her wonderful daughter, Anne (Tavolaro) Bonales, son-in-law Robert Bonales of Wyckoff, granddaughter Valerie and fiancé Tom of Ogdensburg and son-in-law James Huff of Virginia.
Rose had been living with her daughter and son-in-law since April 2019. They told her to come live with them as she grew older. She had many wonderful Pachella nephews and nieces who kept in touch with her by visiting, phoning or writing to her. She loved them all. Rose also kept in touch with her three nieces and family on the Tavolaro side of the family. She loved them all also.
Visitation is Sunday from 12-4pm at Hennessey Heights Funeral Home, 232 Kipp Ave, Hasbrouck Heights, funeral is Monday at 10am at St Francis de Sales Church, 125 Union St, Lodi with burial following at St Mary’s Cemetery, 224 Westminster Place, Saddle Brook.
