Said Saadi's Obituary
Said Saadi, 90 years old, died on December 22, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born in Aleppo, Syria and educated in Beirut, Lebanon, where he graduated with a Baccalaureate Degree from the prestigious Freres Maristes School. Upon graduation he returned to Syria to work for his family business and eventually returned to Beirut to start his own business, running a large international paper company. In Zahle, Lebanon, he met and married his wife Aida and started a family. Due to the Lebanese civil war, Said decided to relocate his family to the United States in 1976, where he became a resident of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ for many years. Later Said settled into Ridgewood, NJ. He was a self-employed businessman and owned a variety of businesses. Said loved life; he enjoyed dancing, loved singing French songs, watching old movies, discussing history and politics and overall enjoyed being around people. He was a loving and devoted husband to Aida (Almaza) Saadi for thirty-eight years, prior to her death in 2008. He is survived by his loving children; Albert (Natalie) Saadi, Andre Saadi and Maggi (Peter) Katsos and his beloved grandchildren, Christopher and Isabella Saadi, and Theodore and Sophia Katsos. A private burial will be held. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
