Shamique Makeda Dawson's Obituary
Shamique Makeda Dawson was born on May 26th, 1987 to her loving parents Sylvester Dawson and Hortense Williams in Spanish Town Saint Catherine, Jamaica. At an early age, Shamique displayed a love for learning and was very advanced. She attended Cumberland Basic, Portmore Missionary Prep and Alpha High while in Jamaica. In 2001, Shamique came to America where she attended Paterson Catholic High School. Shamique graduated with honors in 2004 and then attended the University of Missouri. She completed two years at this university before moving back to New Jersey. Shamique was very competitive and would compete to be the best always. She had a passion for technology and writing freestyles/raps. On Monday, September 25th at the age of 36, this wonderful and beloved mother, daughter, sister aunt and friend slipped into Eternity. While her life might have been short, the impact she leaves on for her family and friends will never be forgotten.
Shamique was predeceased in death by her loving grandparents both paternal and maternal. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving parents Mr. Sylvester Dawson and Ms. Hortense Williams, brothers Damian, Ryan, Nathaniel and sister Julian. The light of her life, her son, Ka'Lael. A host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and her favorite cousins Steve and Jameel as well as her best friends, Wynter, Tymier and Terronia.
