ROCKSTEIN
Sylvia, 93, passed peacefully on February 8, 2014 at Forest Manor in Hope, NJ. Sylvia was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Ray Rockstein, her sister Alice Weig and brother in law Samuel Weig. She spent her life caring for others. She stopped working in the 1970’s to take care for her mother and then her sister. Sylvia then took over the motherly role for her nephew Marc. Sylvia never married or had children of her own. She is survived by her nephew Marc Weig, his wife Helene and their children Amanda (and her children Zakari and Nicholas), Matthew, Paul, Justen, Ashley and Marc Jr. She also is survived by her caretaker Barbara and her former neighbors in Brooklyn. Services will be held privately. Arrangements by Hennessey Heights Funeral Home, Hasbrouck Heights.
